Dramatic Photos. Zero Drama.
Santa Barbara Courthouse Wedding Photography by Nick Streeter
The Santa Barbara Courthouse is one of the most cinematic ceremony locations in California. Stone archways, morning light on Spanish tile, a garden that looks like it was built for this.
Getting photos that actually look like that takes someone who knows exactly where to put you, when to move, and how to keep the whole thing feeling easy.
That's the job.
"The best thing about a picture is that it never changes, even when the people in it do."
Andy Warhol

the experience
Courthouse ceremonies are short. Mine are calm.
I arrive early, read the light, and have a clear plan before you do. You'll know where to stand, where to look, and what's coming next — without it ever feeling like a photo shoot. The direction is steady and specific. The energy stays low. The photos come out cinematic because the process behind them was deliberate, not frantic.
No chaos. No second-guessing. No winging it.
what the courthouse gives you
The Santa Barbara Courthouse was built in 1929. The Sunken Garden, the arched corridors, the open-air loggia — there's more visual variety inside one city block than most venues offer in three acres. Morning light hits the stone walls and just sits there. It's one of my favorite places to shoot.
You don't need a venue when you already have this.
who books this
Couples who want the photos without the production. People keeping it small on purpose, not by default. Elopements, micro-weddings, courthouse ceremonies with ten guests or two.
If you've been told a courthouse wedding can't look like that, I'd like to show you otherwise.

Hi, I'm Nick Streeter
I photograph weddings on California's Central Coast. I give clear direction, keep things calm, and make photos that look as good as the day actually was.
